Janice graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Visual Arts with first class Honours from Griffith University, Queensland College of Art, majoring in Intermedia. In 2006 she was the recipient of the Melville Haysom Memorial Art Scholarship administered by the Queensland Art Gallery. Also in 2006 Janice was awarded a Special Commendation in the Harries National Digital Art Awards, and exhibited in the International Digital Art Awards in Beijing. Janice has extensively exhibited her art nationally in both solo and group shows.
Using digital video Janice captures an authentic portrait of her subjects in their raw and unpolished form. Now working as a full time freelance video artist she is opening her portraiture up to surrealist dreamscapes with the hope of unleashing and unveiling an inner subconscious world rich with instinct and intuition.
